The Indian Vovinam Team recommended by the Indian Olympic Association leaves for the 3rd Asian Indoor Games, 2009 to be held from 30th October to 4th November, 2009 at Hanoi, Vietnam. The team is leaving early for a short span of training that is to be held at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam which is the headquarter of the VOVINAM Martial Art.

The President of the Vovinam Association of India, Dr. Vishnu Sahai has been nominated as the referee for the championship.
