Sports reporter, GUWAHATI, Feb 10 - Altogether six weightlifters from Assam have been picked by the Indian Weightlifting Federation to attend a coaching camp for training of youth and juniors for international competitions to be held during 2012.

The camps will be conducted Patiala and Bangalore SAI campus soon. The selected weightlifters have to join the camps with passports, stated a release issued by Assam Weightlifting Association secretary Bhabajyoti Goswami.

The selected lifters are: Apurba Chetia, Md Jameer Hussain (junior men). Sourav Gogoi (youth boys), Monalisa Sonowal, Pompi Saikia, Swapna Priya Baruah (youth girls).
