Help to the Homeless
There are so many homeless people in Guwahati, lying on
pavements and leading lives worse than that of animals.
There are also a variety of so-called human rights organizations
in the State, who are ever active to raise their voice
when security forces gun down militants. Their outcry
gets louder by the day. But these organizations are not
bothered about the human rights of the hapless homeless
people of the city, or anywhere else in the State, as
if they do not have any human rights because they were
born extremely poor and helpless to lead normal lives.
These organizations can get together and launch a noble
initiative to build some homes for these homeless people.
This is called real social activity.
On the other hand, the government is also
a silent spectator. Does not our 'pro-people' Chief Minister
Tarun Gogoi see such people on pavements, many of whom
have gone mad? The government claims that it has sufficient
funds for development. If this is true, then the government
should build a large home for the homeless in Guwahati
and in other towns also so that these people can at least
have a roof. If, however, the government's claims are
false, then we are being made fools.
I hope the government will wake up and show
its humane face by helping the homeless in the State.
Look at how they are shivering in the cold, with nothing
to protect them. How can an elected government be so insensitive?
And how can our NGOs ignore the reality?

Root out corruption
Every citizen tries to put an end to corruption
and wants a corruption free country but corruption is
energized by each one of us in our day to day life, if
a person is caught by traffic police for not possessing
a license the person pleads to leave him and if the official
is uncompromising he tries to give tribute in the form
of bribe, at this moment why canot we accept the mistake
and pay the legal fine?
In other cases every parent is much concerned
about the child they prefer their children to study under
a recognized university/school/college where they pay
bribe in the form of donation, bribe for getting a fancy
number on bike, bribing to possess land illegally etc...
The fact is we the people are the root cause of the bribe,
we used to fulfill our motives and desires and to lead
a luxurious life and ditch other by bribing and now we
are framing the government.
Corruption free country cannot be achieved
by changing a political party; we the people should change
first, stop ourselves indulging in bribing. If we have
voted for the best political party without taking bribe
from them then the result would have been a corruption
free but on the contrary we sell our votes to respective
parties for money and free goodies and we are not ashamed
of our self and we are taking the pride by saying Anna
Hazare fans. The money which government gave to us for
vote is being taken by them when we approach them in middle
of a trouble so we can't blame them.
Now coming back to Anna Hazare, have we
ever questioned our self? How come he suddenly appears
from nowhere where he has been all these days without
fighting corruption? Since he is lending his voice today
to corruption we can't blindly follow him. Its not like
we have to follow Anna Hazare to stop corruption you should
follow your own rules like giving and taking bribe is
a crime. Anna Hazare is against reservation also. If he
overpowers the government, reservation will be cancelled
and also middle and lower level castes will be put into
trouble which leads to religious clashes and he is brain
washing all the young minds and corporate people to oppose
the government. He should not oppose the whole government
but he should oppose those who are bribing.
Suppose if a question is raised to the people,
the people who are eligible to follow Anna Hazare should
have not been taking or giving bribe then there will be
one or two people uncorrupted. I'm not favoring Anna or
the present government I'm telling that we have been mislead
by this revolution.
The present situation is corporate organizations,
business people are over powering the government. My humble
request to the brothers and sisters of our country, first
we should stop giving and taking bribe, we should first
try to keep our hands clean then we can clean the country.
